Hadith 10394
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reason for the naming of Khidr is that when he would sit on barren land where there was no greenery, it would become lush and start to move. The narrator says: By "farwah" is meant white grass and similar things. Abdullah, the narrator, said: I think that Abdur Razzaq has given this explanation.

(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The reason for Khidr's name is that when he would sit on barren land where there was no greenery, it would become green beneath him.
Hadith 10396
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We used to say that on the day of Badr, the number of the noble Companions was the same as the companions of Talut on the day of Jalut, that is, three hundred and fourteen or fifteen individuals, who crossed the river with Talut, and only the believers crossed the river.
