بَابُ مَاجَاءَ فِي صِفَتِهِ وَمِيلادِ إِسْحَاقَ وَ وَفَاةِ سَارَةَ ثُمَّ وَفَاتِهِ
Chapter: What has been reported regarding his description, the birth of Ishaq, the death of Sarah, and then his own death
Hadith 10349
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَيْتُ عِيسَى بْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَمُوسَى وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ فَأَمَّا عِيسَى فَأَحْمَرُ جَعْدٌ عَرِيضُ الصَّدْرِ وَأَمَّا مُوسَى جَسِيمٌ قَالُوا لَهُ فَإِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ أُنْظُرُوا إِلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw Isa (peace be upon him), Musa (peace be upon him), and Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Isa (peace be upon him) had a reddish complexion, curly hair, and a broad chest. Musa (peace be upon him) was tall. The people asked: And Ibrahim (peace be upon him)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Look at your companion. By this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) meant himself.
Hadith 10350
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَظَرْتُ إِلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَلَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى إِرْبٍ مِنْ آرَابِهِ إِلَّا نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي كَأَنَّهُ صَاحِبُكُمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: I saw Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and whichever part of him I looked at, I would see it in myself as well, as if Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is just like your companion (Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
