بيان قصص أنبياء الله عليهم السلامExplanation of the Stories of the Prophets of Allah, Peace Be Upon Them
بَابُ ذِكْرِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَلِيلِ وَفَضْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلامُ
Chapter: Mention of Ibrahim the Friend (Khalil) and his virtue, peace be upon him and upon our Prophet, blessings and peace
Hadith 10336
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا خَيْرَ الْبَرِيَّةِ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ أَبِي
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O best among the creation?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "That was my father Ibrahim."
Hadith 10337
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وُلَاةً وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّي مِنْهُمْ أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ} [سورة آل عمران: 68] الْآيَةَ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, every prophet has friends among the prophets, and among them, my friend is my father and my Lord’s intimate friend, Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: Indeed, the people who are nearest to Ibrahim are those who followed him, and this Prophet, and those who believe; and Allah is the Protector and Helper of the believers. (: Surah Aal-e-Imran: 68)
Hadith 10338
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالشَّكِّ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ إِذْ قَالَ {رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي} [سورة البقرة: 260]
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: We are more deserving of doubt than Ibrahim (peace be upon him), when he said: O my Lord! Show me how You give life to the dead. He (Allah) said: Do you not believe? Ibrahim said: Yes, of course, (I am asking) so that my heart may be at ease.
Hadith 10339
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً غُرْلًا فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُكْسَى إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ} [سورة الأنبياء: 104]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: People will be gathered in such a state that they will be barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised. The first to be clothed will be Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "As We began the first creation, so shall We repeat it."
Hadith 10340
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَتَنَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ خَلِيلُ الرَّحْمَنِ بَعْدَ مَا أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثَمَانُونَ سَنَةً وَاخْتَتَنَ بِالْقَدُومِ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Friend of the Most Merciful, Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him), performed circumcision with an adze at the age of eighty years.
Hadith 10341
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُصُّ شَارِبَهُ وَكَانَ أَبُوكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ يَقُصُّ شَارِبَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to trim his moustache, and before him, your father Ibrahim (peace be upon him) also used to trim his moustache.
