بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي خَلْقِ الْجِبَالِ وَالْحَدِيدِ وَالنَّارِ وَالرُّيْحِ وَالدَّهْرِ وَاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ
Chapter: What has been reported regarding the creation of mountains, iron, fire, wind, time, night, and day
Hadith 10223
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الْأَرْضَ جَعَلَتْ تَمِيدُ فَخَلَقَ الْجِبَالَ فَأَلْقَاهَا عَلَيْهَا فَاسْتَقَرَّتْ فَتَعَجَّبَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خَلْقِ الْجِبَالِ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ هَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ قَالَ نَعَمْ الْحَدِيدُ قَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ هَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيدِ قَالَ نَعَمْ النَّارُ قَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ هَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ النَّارِ قَالَ نَعَمْ الْمَاءُ قَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ قَالَ نَعَمْ الرِّيحُ قَالَتْ يَا رَبِّ فَهَلْ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ شَيْءٌ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الرِّيحِ قَالَ نَعَمْ ابْنُ آدَمَ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِيَمِينِهِ يُخْفِيهَا مِنْ شِمَالِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Allah Almighty created the earth, it began to sway, so Allah Almighty created the mountains and anchored them upon it, and thus it became stable. The angels were greatly astonished at the creation of the mountains, so they said: O Lord! Is there anything among Your creation that is harder than the mountains? Allah Almighty said: Yes, iron is harder. They said: O Lord! Is there anything among Your creation that is harder than iron? He said: Yes, fire is harder. They said: O Lord! Is there anything among Your creation that is harder than fire? He said: Yes, water is harder. They said: O Lord! Is there anything among Your creation that is harder than water? He said: Yes, wind is harder. They said: O Lord! Is there anything among Your creation that is harder than wind? He said: Yes, the son of Adam who gives charity with his right hand and conceals it from his left hand.
Hadith 10224
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ بِيَدِي الْأَمْرُ أُقَلِّبُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty said: The son of Adam hurts Me, and that is by cursing time, while I am time; in My hand is the authority, I alternate the night and the day.
Hadith 10225
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَسُبُّوا الدَّهْرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ إِنَّ الدَّهْرَ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي لِي أُجَدِّدُهَا وَأُبْلِيهَا وَآتِي بِمُلُوكٍ بَعْدَ مُلُوكٍ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not speak ill of time, for Allah the Exalted has said: Verily, time—that is, the days and nights—are Mine; I bring about novelty in them and I wear them out, and I bring kings after kings.
