Hadith 10205
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Banu Tamim! Accept the glad tidings. They said: You have already given us the glad tidings, now give us (some wealth and goods). Upon hearing this, the color of the face of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) changed, and he said: If Banu Tamim do not wish to accept the glad tidings, then O people of Yemen! You accept it. We said: Yes, we have accepted it, so tell us about the beginning of this world. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty was before everything; at that time His Throne was upon water, and He wrote the mention of everything in the Preserved Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfuz). Meanwhile, someone came and said: O Imran! Your she-camel has broken loose. So I went out to catch it, (it had gone so far that) there was a mirage between me and it, so I went after it and did not know what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said after me.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Razin Aqili (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: O Messenger of Allah! Where was our Lord before the creation of the earth and the heavens? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He was in a fine cloud, with air below it and air above it, then He created His Throne upon the water.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! When I see you, my soul becomes happy and my eyes are cooled, so tell me about everything." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everything was created from water." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about a command such that if I act upon it, I will enter Paradise." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spread peace, feed (others), maintain ties of kinship, and stand (in prayer) at night when people are sleeping, and you will enter Paradise in peace."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty created the Pen first and then said to it: Write. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the valley of Batha, when a cloud passed by. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know what this is? We said: This is a cloud. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is it also called "Muzn"? We said: Yes, it is also called "Muzn". The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is it also called "Anan"? We remained silent in response. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you know what is the distance between the sky and the earth? We said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The distance between them is as much as a journey of five hundred years, and between each heaven and the next is a distance of five hundred years, and the thickness of each heaven is also five hundred years, and above the seventh heaven is a sea, its depth is as much as the distance from the earth to the sky. Above it are eight angels in the form of mountain goats, the distance from their hooves to their knees is as much as the distance from the earth to the sky. Then above that is the Throne (Arsh), and between the upper and lower part of the Throne is a distance as much as between the earth and the sky. Above it is Allah, but none of the deeds of the children of Adam are hidden from Him.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) affirmed some of the verses of Umayyah. He had said in one verse: (Among the bearers of the Throne) some are in the form of a man, some in the form of an ox, under the right leg of Allah Almighty, some are in the form of a vulture, and some in the form of a lion lying in ambush. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Umayyah has spoken the truth. Once he said this verse: And at the end of every night the sun rises, at that time it is red and its color appears rosy, it refuses and does not rise gently, otherwise it would be punished and flogged. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has spoken the truth.
