Hadith 10201
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Razin (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Our Lord laughs at the despair of His servant, while the change in his condition is near. I said: O Messenger of Allah! Does the Lord Almighty also laugh? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, we will not find goodness lacking with a Lord who laughs.
Hadith 10202
Sayyiduna Abbas bin Mirdas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made abundant supplication for forgiveness and mercy for his Ummah on the evening of Arafah. So Allah Almighty accepted your (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication and said: Surely, indeed I have done so and have forgiven your Ummah, except those who wrong each other. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O my Lord! You are capable of forgiving the oppressor and granting the oppressed a better reward and recompense than the wrong done to him. That evening, this is what happened, meaning on the evening of Arafah this supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was not accepted, as is mentioned in some narrations. When the next day came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to supplicate for his Ummah on the morning of Muzdalifah. Soon, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to smile. A companion said: O Messenger of Allah! May my parents be sacrificed for you, you have smiled at such a moment in which it is not your habit to smile, so what has made you smile? May Allah always keep your blessed teeth smiling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I smiled because of Allah's enemy, Iblis. When he learned that Allah Almighty had accepted my supplication for my Ummah and had also forgiven the oppressor, he cried out for destruction and began to throw dust on his head. So I smiled upon seeing his distress and grief.
Hadith 10203
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin ‘Ubada and Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Day of Resurrection comes and Allah Almighty has finished judging the creation, two servants will still be left standing. The command will be given for them to be sent to Hell. When one of them turns back and looks, the Almighty Compeller will say: Bring him back. So the angels will bring him back. Allah Almighty will ask him: Why did you turn back and look? He will say: I had hope that You would admit me to Paradise. So the command will be given for him to enter Paradise. Then he will say: Indeed, Allah Almighty has granted me such bounty that if I feed all the people of Paradise, nothing from what I have will be diminished. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned this, joy was visible on his blessed face.
Hadith 10204
Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: I do not wish that I should be given the whole world and whatever is in it in exchange for this verse. Allah Almighty has said: O My servants who have wronged their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful. A servant said: O Messenger of Allah! And what about the one who commits shirk (associates partners with Allah)? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) remained silent, and then three times said: Except the one who commits shirk.
