It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he was reciting these verses: "The desire for increase has distracted you, until you reached the graveyards." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The son of Adam says: My wealth, my wealth. O son of Adam! Of your wealth, there is nothing for you except what you have eaten and finished, or worn and worn out, or given in charity and sent ahead. Qatadah used to say: That charity is nothing which has not been taken into possession.

Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A servant says: My wealth, my wealth, whereas of his wealth there are only three things for him: what he eats and consumes, or what he wears and wears out, or what he gives away and thus finishes. Other than that, whatever wealth there is, he is going to leave it behind for the people.
Hadith 10056
Mawla of the Messenger, Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when this verse was revealed: "Those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah..." At that time, we were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Some of us said to others: Something has been revealed regarding gold and silver, now if we could know which wealth is better so that we may strive for it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best wealth is a tongue that remembers (Allah), a heart that is grateful, and a believing wife who helps her husband in his faith.

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abu Huzail, he says: One of my companions told me that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Destruction is for gold and silver. Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, went to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah! You have said that destruction is for gold and silver, so what should we treasure? He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: A tongue that remembers (Allah), a heart that is grateful, and a wife who helps her husband in matters of the Hereafter.

Sayyiduna Ubayy (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: Do you not see how people's necks have turned in different directions in pursuit of the world? I said: Yes, indeed. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Soon a mountain of gold will emerge from the Euphrates. When people come to know of it, they will go towards it. The people present at that mountain will say: By Allah! If people are left in their state, this mountain will be finished. Then people will fight among themselves, and out of every hundred, ninety-nine will be killed.

I fear that I may be destroyed, because among the Quraysh, I possess the most wealth, and now I have sold a piece of land for forty thousand dinars. The lady said: O my son! Spend your wealth, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Surely, some of my companions are such that when I part from them (at the time of death), they will not be able to join me later. So I, Abdur Rahman, went to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and narrated this hadith to him. He reached the lady and said: By Allah! Am I among them?
