Syedna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the world and said: Indeed, the world is lush and sweet (attractive), so beware of it and beware of women as well. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned that among the Children of Israel there were three women; two were recognized because of their tall stature, and one was not recognized because of her short stature. So she had wooden sandals made and had a ring made, in which she filled the best fragrance, musk, and had a lid made for it. Then, whenever she passed by a gathering, she would open the lid, and the fragrance would spread. The continuous narrator said that the ring would be on her left little finger, so she would tilt it towards the other three fingers and close the remaining three.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Shibl (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, the sinful people are the inhabitants of Hell. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are the sinful people? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Women. A man asked: O Messenger of Allah! Are they not our mothers, sisters, and wives? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Why not, but when they are given (something), they do not show gratitude, and when they are tested, they do not show patience.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I saw Hell, and I have never seen a scene more severe than today. The majority of its inhabitants were women. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! Why is that? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Because of their ingratitude. Someone asked: Do they disbelieve in Allah? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for favors. If you were to do good to one of them for a lifetime, but then she saw something in you (she disliked), she would say: I have never seen any good from you.

‘Amarah bin Khuzaymah says: We were with Sayyiduna ‘Amr bin al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) on the journey of Hajj. When we reached the place of Marr az-Zahran, we saw a woman in her howdah. In another narration: A lady’s hands were adorned and she was wearing rings, and she had placed her hands on the howdah. Then Sayyiduna ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) turned aside and entered a ravine, so we also entered with him. Then he said: We were at this place with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Suddenly, we saw a great number of crows, among them was a crow with a red beak and red feet. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Women will not enter Paradise except as few as the crow with a red beak and red feet.
