Chapter on what has been narrated regarding triplets
Hadith 9966
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا وَلَا تُحَفِّلُوا وَلَا يَنْعِقْ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not face the Qiblah at the time of relieving yourselves, do not withhold (animals') milk to deceive, and do not call out to each other like the shepherds of goats.
Hadith 9967
عَنْ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ عِبَادًا لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ قِيلَ لَهُ مَنْ أُولَئِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ مُتَبَرٍّ مِنْ وَالِدَيْهِ رَاغِبٌ عَنْهُمَا وَمُتَبَرٍّ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَرَجُلٌ أَنْعَمَ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ فَكَفَرَ نِعْمَتَهُمْ وَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُمْ
Sahl narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, there are such servants of Allah that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will neither speak to them, nor purify them, nor look at them. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who are these people? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who disassociates and shows aversion from his parents, the one who disowns his children, and the person upon whom some people bestowed favors, but he was ungrateful for their blessings and disassociated himself from them.
Hadith 9968
عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْتَى النَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ قَتَلَ غَيْرَ قَاتِلِهِ أَوْ طَلَبَ بِدَمِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ أَوْ بَصَّرَ عَيْنَيْهِ فِي النَّوْمِ مَا لَمْ تُبْصِرْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Shurayh Khuza'i, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The greatest rebel against Allah Almighty is the one who kills someone who has not killed, or demands the blood of the days of ignorance from the people of Islam, or describes in his sleep what his eyes have not seen (i.e., relates false dreams).
Hadith 9969
عَنْ رُوَيْفِعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا رُوَيْفِعُ لَعَلَّ الْحَيَاةَ سَتَطُولُ بِكَ فَأَخْبِرِ النَّاسَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ عَقَدَ لِحْيَتَهُ أَوْ تَقَلَّدَ وَتَرًا أَوِ اسْتَنْجَى بِرَجِيعِ دَابَّةٍ أَوْ عَظْمٍ فَإِنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ (وَفِي لَفْظٍ) فَقَدْ بَرِيءَ مِمَّا أَنْزَلَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ruwaifi’ bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Ruwaifi’! It is possible that your life will be prolonged, so inform the people that whoever ties a knot in his beard, or puts on a string necklace, or uses animal dung or bone for istinja (purification), then Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is free from him. In another narration it is stated: Such a person will be free from that which was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 9970
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقُلْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ وَمَنِ اسْتَشَارَهُ أَخُوهُ الْمُسْلِمُ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيْهِ بِغَيْرِ رُشْدٍ فَقَدْ خَانَهُ وَمَنْ أَفْتَى بِفُتْيَا غَيْرِ ثَبْتٍ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى مَنْ أَفْتَاهُ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever attributes to me something which I have not said, let him prepare his abode in the Fire. Whoever is consulted by his Muslim brother, but gives him advice without wisdom and uprightness, then he has betrayed him. And whoever gives a legal verdict without proper investigation, then its sin will be upon the one who gave the verdict.
Hadith 9971
عَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا وَعَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ وَأَنْ يَمْنَعَ الرَّجُلُ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَضَعَ خَشَبَةً فِي حَائِطِهِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a person from drinking water while standing, from drinking water directly from the mouth of a water-skin, and from preventing his neighbor from placing wood on his wall.
Hadith 9972
عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْفِرَى أَنْ يُدْعَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوْ يُرِيَ عَيْنَيْهِ فِي الْمَنَامِ مَا لَمْ تَرَيَا أَوْ يَقُولَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The greatest lie is that a man attributes himself to someone other than his (real) father, or claims to have seen with his eyes what he did not see (i.e., narrates false dreams), or attributes to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) something which he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say.
Hadith 9973
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي لَيْثٍ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَوْ قَالَ عِمْرَانُ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْحَنَاتِمِ أَوْ قَالَ الْحَنْتَمِ وَفِي لَفْظٍ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ فِي الْحَنَاتِمِ وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ وَالْحَرِيرِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: I bear witness to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade drinking from green-colored pitchers, wearing gold rings, and (wearing) silk.
Hadith 9974
عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ((لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ فِي جَوْفِ بَيْتِ امْرِئٍ حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ فَإِنْ نَظَرَ فَقَدْ دَخَلَ وَلَا يَؤُمُّ قَوْمًا فَيَخْتَصَّ نَفْسَهُ بِدُعَاءٍ دُونَهُمْ فَإِنْ فَعَلَ فَقَدْ خَانَهُمْ وَلَا يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ حَقِنٌ حَتَّى يَتَخَفَّفَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not lawful for any Muslim to look inside someone’s house without permission; if he does so, it would mean that he has entered. Also, no person should lead people in prayer in such a way that he supplicates only for himself; if he does so, it would mean that he has betrayed them. And no person should pray while restraining urine or feces; he should first relieve himself.
