Hadith 9927
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah strongly dislikes among people the one who is eloquent in speech, who (while speaking with affectation and artificiality) repeatedly twists his tongue like a cow chews cud.
Hadith 9928
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I tell you about the worst among you? They are those who indulge in idle talk and twist their mouths while speaking. And shall I tell you about the best among you? They are those who are the best in character among you."
Hadith 9929
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed those people who extract fine points in speech like the splitting of hair.
Hadith 9930
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that during the Prophetic era, two orators came from the east, they stood and delivered a speech and then sat down. Then the orator of the Messenger of Allah, Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him), stood up and after speaking, he also sat down. The people were greatly astonished by his speech. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O people! (In a natural manner and without any affectation or artificiality) express your purpose, for indeed, extracting the intricacies of speech is from Satan. Also, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, some eloquence is (like) magic.
Hadith 9931
(THE SECOND CHAIN) Two men from the people of the East came to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and they addressed him in such a manner that the people were amazed. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Indeed, some speech is magic. Indeed, some speech is magic.
Hadith 9932
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma’n bin Yazid or Sayyiduna Abu Ma’n, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Gather in the mosques, and when the people have gathered, inform me. So we were the first to gather, then we informed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Then he, peace and blessings be upon him, came walking with us until he sat with us. Then one of us, who was appointed, spoke and said: All praise is for Allah, for whom no one’s praise was ever sufficient before, and whose praise cannot be surpassed, or he said something similar. But it happened that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, became angry and left. We blamed each other among ourselves and said: Allah had favored us in that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us first, and now this has happened. Then we went to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and found him in the mosque of such-and-such tribe. We spoke to him, and he, peace and blessings be upon him, walked with us until he sat in the same place or near it and said: Indeed, all praise is for Allah; now it is Allah’s will whether He establishes this praise before the present time or after it, and indeed, some speech is magic. Then he, peace and blessings be upon him, turned to us and gave us commands, spoke to us, and taught us some matters.
Hadith 9933
Narrated by Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Hour will not be established until there appear people who will eat with their tongues in the manner that a cow eats with its tongue.
Hadith 9934
Narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man sought permission to enter upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), upon seeing him, said: "Give permission to this man, he is a bad person of his family." Then when he came in, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) treated him gently. When he left, I asked: "O Messenger of Allah! You said what you said before, then you treated him gently. (What is the reason for these two kinds of behavior)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Aisha! The worst people in status before Allah on the Day of Resurrection will be those whom people avoid to protect themselves from their evil." In another narration: "The worst people are those whose honor is shown to avoid their evil."
Hadith 9935
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a man sought permission to come to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said about him: "He is a bad man of his family." Then, when he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) treated him cheerfully and informally. After that man left, another man came. About him, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He is the best man of his family." Then, when he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not treat him as informally as he had treated the first one, nor was he as cheerful with him. When this man also left, I (Aisha) said: "O Messenger of Allah! When so-and-so sought permission from you, you declared him to be a bad man of his family, but then you treated him cheerfully and informally. And about so-and-so, you commented well, but did not treat him as you did the first one?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Aisha! The worst people are those from whose evil others are cautious."
