Hadith 9888
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Avoid lying, for indeed lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to Hell. A man continues to lie and seeks out lying until he is written with Allah as a liar (great liar).
Hadith 9889
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that among the Companions, the most disliked trait was telling lies. When a person would tell a lie in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), this would remain in his (peace be upon him) heart until he (peace be upon him) came to know that the person had repented from this sin.

Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have a husband and I also have a co-wife. I express about my husband that he has given me such and such thing, he has brought me such and such cloth. Will this be considered a lie? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is not given something, but still expresses as if it has been given to them, is like a person who has put on two garments of falsehood.
Hadith 9893
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nawwas bin Sam'an, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is a great betrayal that you speak to your brother about something and he believes you, while you are lying to him."

It is narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! When any one of us desires something, but she says about it that she does not desire it, will that also be written as a lie for her?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, a lie is written as a lie, even a small lie is written as a small lie."
