It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is granted forty years of age in Islam, Allah Almighty removes from him three kinds of diseases: insanity, leprosy, and vitiligo. When a person reaches fifty years, Allah Almighty makes his reckoning easy for him. When he reaches sixty years, Allah Almighty grants him the ability to turn towards Him according to His pleasure. Then, when he reaches seventy years, Allah Almighty and the inhabitants of the heavens begin to love him. When he reaches eighty years, Allah Almighty accepts his good deeds and overlooks his bad deeds. Then, when he reaches ninety years, Allah Almighty forgives all his past and future sins and gives him the title that such-and-such person is Allah’s prisoner on earth, and his intercession is accepted on behalf of his family members.
