Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when a man passed by. A person from the people said: O Messenger of Allah! I love this man. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: Have you informed him about it? He said: No. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Stand up and inform him. So he stood up towards him and said: O so-and-so! By Allah, indeed I love you for the sake of Allah Almighty. He replied: May the One for whose sake you have loved me, love you in return. In another narration, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Stand up and inform him, so that love may be established between both of you.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a person loves any of his companions, he should go to his house and inform him that he loves him for the sake of Allah Almighty.)) Abu Salim said to Abu Umayyah: Indeed, I have come to your house (so that I may inform you of my love).
