Hadith 9380
عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَصَابَنِي رَمَدٌ فَعَادَنِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَلَمَّا بَرَأْتُ خَرَجْتُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ كَانَتْ عَيْنَاكَ لِمَا بِهِمَا مَا كُنْتَ صَانِعًا)) قَالَ قُلْتُ لَوْ كَانَتَا عَيْنَايَ لِمَا بِهِمَا صَبَرْتُ وَاحْتَسَبْتُ قَالَ ((لَوْ كَانَتْ عَيْنَاكَ لِمَا بِهِمَا ثُمَّ صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ لَلَقِيتَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَا ذَنْبَ لَكَ)) قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ ((ثُمَّ صَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ إِلَّا أَوْجَبَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لَكَ الْجَنَّةَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: My eye became diseased and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to visit me for my care. When I recovered and went outside, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: If your eye disease had remained, what would you have done? I said: If my eye disease had remained, I would have been patient and intended to seek reward. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you had been patient and intended to seek reward in the case of this disease remaining, you would have met Allah in such a state that there would be no sin upon you. The words of the narrator Isma'il are: Then if you had been patient and intended to seek reward, Allah would have made Paradise obligatory for you.
Hadith 9381
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعُودُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أَرْقَمَ وَهُوَ يَشْتَكِي عَيْنَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ يَا زَيْدُ لَوْ كَانَ بَصَرُكَ لِمَا بِهِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to visit Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) to inquire about his health, his eye was diseased. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Zayd! If the illness of your eyes were to remain?... Then words similar to the above-mentioned narration were reported.
Hadith 9382
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ أَذْهَبْتُ كَرِيمَتَيْهِ ثُمَّ صَبَرَ وَاحْتَسَبَ كَانَ ثَوَابُهُ الْجَنَّةَ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your Lord, the Exalted, has said: When I take away the eyesight of someone and he remains patient seeking reward, then his reward will be Paradise.
Hadith 9383
عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِذَا أَخَذْتُ كَرِيمَتَيْكَ فَصَبَرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ عِنْدَ الصَّدْمَةِ الْأُولَى لَمْ أَرْضَ لَكَ بِثَوَابٍ دُونَ الْجَنَّةِ
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O son of Adam! When I take away both your eyes and you, at the very onset of the calamity, endure patiently seeking reward, then I will not be pleased for you with anything less than Paradise as a reward for it.
Hadith 9384
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ قُدَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَزِيزٌ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ كَرِيمَتَيْ مُسْلِمٍ ثُمَّ يُدْخِلَهُ النَّارَ قَالَ يُونُسُ يَعْنِي عَيْنَيْهِ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha bint Qudama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The status of a Muslim servant in the sight of Allah Almighty is greater than that He would take away his two eyes and then also admit him into the Fire.
Hadith 9385
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَنْ أَذْهَبْتُ عَيْنَيْهِ فَصَبَرَ وَاحْتَسَبَ لَمْ أَرْضَ لَهُ بِثَوَابٍ دُونَ الْجَنَّةِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty said: If I take away the eyesight of a person and he remains patient seeking reward, then I am not pleased with any reward for him less than Paradise.
