It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah, having made a cloak his pillow. We said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah for us and seek help from Him for us. Upon hearing this, the color of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned red or changed, and he said: Indeed, those before you were such that a pit was dug for them, then a saw was brought and placed on their heads and they were split in two, but this hardship did not turn them away from their religion. And with iron combs, the flesh was torn from the bones and nerves of people, but even this did not turn them away from their religion. And surely, surely Allah will complete this religion so that a rider will travel from Sana'a to Yemen, and he will fear none but Allah, or fear the wolf for his sheep, but you are being hasty.
