(Second chain) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The example of a believer is like a tender crop; when the wind reaches it, it bends, and when the wind ceases, it straightens up. In the same way is the example of a believer, who keeps swaying due to trials. And the example of a hypocrite is like a pine tree, which remains in one state due to being solid and hard, until Allah Almighty breaks it.

Syedna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man placed his hand on the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "By Allah! Your fever is so intense that I do not have the strength to keep my hand on you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We are a group of Prophets; just as the reward and recompense for us is increased, in the same way, the trials for us are made severe. Among the Prophets, there was one who was tested with lice to such an extent that it was near that they would kill him. There were also Prophets who were tested through poverty and hunger to such an extent that they would take a cloak and cut it. And those Prophets would be as happy due to trials as you are happy due to prosperity."

Abu Ubaidah narrates from his paternal aunt, Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: We came to visit the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to tend to him, while he was among his wives. We saw that a water-skin was hanging and its water was dripping onto the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the reason for this was that he was feeling the intensity of the heat of fever. In any case, we said: O Messenger of Allah! If you would supplicate to Allah and He would grant you healing. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people who are tested the most are the Prophets, then those who are less than them (in piety and righteousness), and then those who are less than them.
