Hadith 9300
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, among the people, my most enviable friend is that believer who has little wealth and a small family, but offers much prayer, worships his Lord in a good manner, is unknown among the people, no fingers are pointed towards him, his death comes quickly, his inheritance is little, and there are few to weep for him.
Hadith 9301
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Naqadah Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Naqadah to a man to get a she-camel, but that man sent him back without giving anything. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then sent him to another man, and he gave the she-camel. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that Naqadah (may Allah be pleased with him) was coming with the she-camel, he said: O Allah! Bless this she-camel and the one who sent it. Sayyiduna Naqadah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! And bless the one who brought it as well. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: And bless the one who brought it as well. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it to be milked, so it was milked and gave plenty of milk. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Increase the wealth of so-and-so and his children. By this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the first man who did not give the she-camel. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Make the sustenance of so-and-so daily. By this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the person who sent the she-camel.

Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Make the sustenance of my household sufficient for their needs.
Hadith 9303

(The second chain) Its wording is as follows: O Allah! Make the sustenance of Muhammad’s (peace and blessings be upon him) family sufficient for their needs.
Hadith 9304
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Judgment, everyone, whether rich or poor, will wish that he had been given sustenance in the world only as much as would suffice to keep him alive.
Hadith 9305
Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lead the people in prayer, due to hunger, people would fall down during the standing (qiyam) of the prayer. These people belonged to the Ashab al-Suffah. The Bedouins used to say: "These people have gone mad." When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would complete the prayer, he would turn towards them and say: "If you knew what reward and recompense Allah has for you, you would wish that your need and hunger would increase even more." Sayyiduna Fadala (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on that day.
Hadith 9306
Sayyiduna Mahmood bin Labeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are two things which the son of Adam dislikes (but in reality, both are better for him): one is death, and death is better for a believer than tribulation, and the other is paucity of wealth, whereas due to paucity of wealth, the reckoning is less.
Hadith 9307
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) said: “O my Lord! You make Your believing servant poor and destitute in the world?” At that moment, a door of Paradise was opened for Musa (peace be upon him) and he began to look towards it. Then Allah Almighty said: “O Musa! This Paradise I have prepared for that very believer.” Then Musa (peace be upon him) said: “O my Lord! By Your honor! By Your majesty! If both hands and both feet of this believer were cut off, and he were dragged on his face from the day of his birth until the Day of Resurrection, but if his end is this Paradise, then he would think that he never saw any hardship at all.” Then Musa (peace be upon him) said: “O my Lord! You have created great abundance in the world for Your disbelieving servant?” At that moment, a door towards Hell was opened for Musa (peace be upon him) and it was said to him: “O Musa! This Hell I have prepared for that very disbeliever.” Musa (peace be upon him) said: “O my Lord! By Your honor and majesty! If he were given the whole world from the day of his creation until the Day of Resurrection, but if his end is this, then he would think that he never saw any good at all.”
Hadith 9308
Samak bin Harb says: Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed us from the pulpit of Kufa and said: By Allah! Your Prophet used to be satisfied with inferior dates, but you are not content without various kinds of dates and butter.
Hadith 9309
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) said while delivering a sermon: I praise Allah Almighty. Indeed, there were such months that would come upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that creases would appear on him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not even be satisfied with inferior dates.
Hadith 9310
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Even barley bread was not available in excess of the needs of the household of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Hadith 9311
Abu Al-Ala says: A man from Banu Sulaym narrated to me—I believe he had seen the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him—in any case, he said: Allah Almighty tests His servant with that which He grants him. So whoever is content with Allah’s distribution, Allah blesses his provision and grants him further abundance. And whoever is not content with this distribution, no blessing is placed in his provision.
