It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stated: Allah Almighty will say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam! I made you ride horses and camels, and I married you to women, then I made you such that you became prosperous and of high status, so where is the gratitude for these things now?

Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand (in prayer) for such a long time that his feet would swell. Someone said: O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, Allah Almighty has forgiven your past sins. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Should I not be a greatly thankful servant?

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah Almighty loves to see the effect of His blessing upon His servant.
Hadith 9240
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, also narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The one who eats and gives thanks is like the fasting person who is patient.
Hadith 9241

Sayyiduna Ash'ath bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) has also narrated a similar hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 9244
Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on those pieces of wood or on that pulpit: Whoever does not thank for a small thing, will not thank for a large amount either, and whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah Almighty. To mention the blessing of Allah Almighty is also gratitude, and not to mention it is ingratitude. And congregation is mercy, and division and dissension is punishment. Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Adhere to the large group. A man asked: Which is the large group? Sayyiduna Abu Umamah said: It is this verse of Surah An-Nur: “But if you turn away, then upon the Messenger is only that which he has been charged with, and upon you is that which you have been charged with.” (: Surah An-Nur: 54)
Hadith 9245
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is done a favor, let him repay it; if he is unable to repay it, then let him mention it. Thus, whoever mentions it has expressed gratitude for it, and whoever displays a blessing which he does not possess is like a person who wears two garments of falsehood.
Hadith 9246
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was walking in intense heat when the strap of his sandal broke. Then a man came with a strap and put it in the sandal of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you knew the value of the thing upon which you have lifted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), you would not consider insignificant the thing upon which you have mounted the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
