It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stated: Allah Almighty will say on the Day of Resurrection: O son of Adam! I made you ride horses and camels, and I married you to women, then I made you such that you became prosperous and of high status, so where is the gratitude for these things now?

Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on those pieces of wood or on that pulpit: Whoever does not thank for a small thing, will not thank for a large amount either, and whoever does not thank people, does not thank Allah Almighty. To mention the blessing of Allah Almighty is also gratitude, and not to mention it is ingratitude. And congregation is mercy, and division and dissension is punishment. Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Adhere to the large group. A man asked: Which is the large group? Sayyiduna Abu Umamah said: It is this verse of Surah An-Nur: “But if you turn away, then upon the Messenger is only that which he has been charged with, and upon you is that which you have been charged with.” (: Surah An-Nur: 54)
