Hadith 9183
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Verily, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! There are three things, I certainly swear by them: (1) Wealth does not decrease because of charity, so give charity; (2) When a servant forgives an injustice seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty, then because of that Allah Almighty elevates him. In one narration: Allah Almighty will increase his honor on the Day of Resurrection; and (3) When a servant opens the door of begging, Allah Almighty opens the door of poverty upon him.
Hadith 9184
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man began to abuse Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) while the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting nearby, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was amazed and kept smiling. When that person increased his insults, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied to some of his abuses. At this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became displeased and left. Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) followed him and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! He kept abusing me, but you remained seated. When I replied to some of his abuses, you became angry and stood up. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In fact, there was an angel with you who was replying on your behalf, but when you yourself started to retaliate, Satan entered, and I cannot sit with Satan. Then he said: O Abu Bakr! Three things are certain: (1) Whoever is wronged and overlooks it, Allah Almighty grants him tremendous help; (2) Whoever gives gifts to maintain relationships, Allah Almighty grants him abundance; and (3) Whoever begins to ask (people) to increase his wealth, Allah Almighty increases the decrease in his wealth.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I met the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and, holding his hand, said: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about virtuous deeds. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Uqbah! Join ties with the one who cuts you off, give to the one who deprives you, and forgive the one who wrongs you.

Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Yaman (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There was a people who were weak and destitute; those who were arrogant and numerous fought against them. Then, when Allah Almighty gave victory to the weak over them, they turned against their enemy, enslaved them, and dominated them, and in this way, until the Day of Resurrection when they meet Allah Almighty, they incurred His displeasure upon themselves.
