بَابٌ فِي اسْتِحْبَابِ الْأَخْذِ بِالرَّحْصَةِ وَعَدْمِ التَّشْدِيدِ فِي الدِّينِ
Chapter on the recommendation to take concessions and not to be harsh in religion
Hadith 8928
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) أَنَّ نَاسًا سَأَلُوا أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِ فِي السِّرِّ قَالَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ((مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَسْأَلُونَ عَمَّا أَصْنَعُ)) فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
(Second chain) Some people asked the Mothers of the Believers about the secret acts of worship of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Then he, peace and blessings be upon him, praised and glorified Allah Almighty and said: What is the matter with people that they have started asking about those (hidden acts of worship) which I perform, … . Al-Hadith
Hadith 8929
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ تُؤْتَى رُخَصُهُ كَمَا يَكْرَهُ أَنْ تُؤْتَى مَعْصِيَتُهُ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty likes the observance of concessions just as He dislikes disobedience.
Hadith 8930
عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((مَنْ لَمْ يَقْبَلْ رُخْصَةَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ مِثْلُ جِبَالِ عَرَفَةَ))
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does not accept the concession granted by Allah, will have sins like the mountains of Arafah.
