Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Al-Kafirun is a quarter of the Holy Qur'an, Surah Az-Zalzalah is also a quarter of the Holy Qur'an, and Surah An-Nasr is also equal to a quarter of the Qur'an.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me the Holy Qur’an. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite three surahs from the surahs beginning with Alif Lam Ra. The man said: I am old, my heart has become hard, my tongue is thick (so make it less in quantity). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then recite the surahs beginning with Ha Meem. But he gave the same answer as before. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite the Musabbihat surahs. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Teach me any one comprehensive surah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the surah with {إِذَازُلْزِلَتِالْأَرْضُ} until he finished it. This time the man said: By Him Who has sent you with the truth, I will not add anything to this. Then the man turned away and left. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This man has succeeded, this man has succeeded. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bring him to me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been commanded regarding the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Adha), Allah Almighty has made this day an Eid for this Ummah. The man said: What do you think if I have only one goat belonging to my son, should I sacrifice it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather (on the day of sacrifice) cut your hair, trim your nails, cut your moustache, and shave the hair below the navel. This act will be a complete sacrifice for you in the sight of Allah Almighty.
