تفسير من سورة الملك إلى سورة البروجInterpretation from Surah Al-Mulk to Surah Al-Buruj
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِهَا وَتَفْسِيرِ صَدْرِهَا
Chapter on what has been narrated regarding its virtue and the explanation of its beginning
Hadith 8823
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ [سورة البروج: ٣] قَالَ يَعْنِي لِلشَّاهِدِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَالْمَشْهُودِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, regarding this verse {وَشَاھِدٍ وَّ مَشْہُوْدٍ}, said: "The witness refers to the Day of Arafah and the promised refers to the Day of Resurrection."
Hadith 8824
(وَبِالسَّنَدِ الْمُتَقَدِّمِ) عَنْ يُونُسَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمَّارًا مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ [سورة البروج: ٣] قَالَ الشَّاهِدُ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْمَشْهُودُ يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَالْمَوْعُودُ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: In {وَالْیَوْمِ الْمَوْعُوْ دِ۔ وَشَاھِدٍ وَّ مَشْہُوْدٍ۔}, "the witness" refers to the day of Jumu'ah (Friday), "the witnessed" refers to the day of 'Arafah, and "the promised" refers to the Day of Resurrection.
