بَابُ قِصَّةِ الذَّبِيحِ وَقَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: «وَنَادَيْنَاهُ أَنْ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ الرُّؤْيَا »
Chapter: The story of the sacrifice and His saying, the Exalted: "And We called to him: O Abraham, you have fulfilled the vision"
Hadith 8730
عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ((يس قَلْبُ الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَقْرَؤُهَا رَجُلٌ يُرِيدُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَالدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ إِلَّا غَفَرَ لَهُ وَاقْرَؤُوهَا عَلَى مَوْتَاكُمْ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Yaseen is the heart of the Qur'an. Whoever recites it seeking the pleasure of Allah and the home of the Hereafter, he will be forgiven. And recite this Surah near your deceased.
Hadith 8731
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي الْمَشْيَخَةُ أَنَّهُمْ حَضَرُوا غُضَيْفَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الثُّمَالِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حِينَ اشْتَدَّ سَوْقُهُ فَقَالَ هَلْ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدٌ يَقْرَأُ {يس} قَالَ فَقَرَأَهَا صَالِحُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ السَّكُونِيُّ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ مِنْهَا قُبِضَ قَالَ فَكَانَ الْمَشْيَخَةُ يَقُولُونَ إِذَا قُرِئَتْ عِنْدَ الْمَيِّتِ خُفِّفَ عَنْهُ بِهَا قَالَ صَفْوَانُ وَقَرَأَهَا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُعْتَمِرِ عِنْدَ ابْنِ مَعْبَدٍ
Safwan narrates: Some elders told me that they were present with Ghudayf bin Harith Thamali, and he was experiencing great hardship at the time of death. So he said: Is there anyone among you who can recite Surah Yasin? Salih bin Shurayh Sakuti recited Surah Yasin, and he had only recited forty verses when he (Ghudayf) passed away. The elders used to say that when this Surah is recited over the deceased, it brings ease to him because of it.
Hadith 8732
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حِينَ وَجَبَتْ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ ((يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ تَدْرِي أَيْنَ تَذْهَبُ الشَّمْسُ)) قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ ((فَإِنَّهَا تَذْهَبُ حَتَّى تَسْجُدَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَبِّهَا عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَتَسْتَأْذِنَ فِي الرُّجُوعِ فَيُؤْذَنَ لَهَا وَكَأَنَّهَا قَدْ قِيلَ لَهَا ارْجِعِي مِنْ حَيْثُ جِئْتِ فَتَرْجِعُ إِلَى مَطْلَعِهَا فَذَلِكَ مُسْتَقَرُّهَا)) ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا} [يس: 38]
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was in the mosque with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of sunset. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Abu Dharr! Do you know where this (sun) goes? I said: Allah and His Messenger know best. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It continues to move until it prostrates before its Lord and seeks permission to return. Then it will be granted permission and it will be said: Return to where you came from. So it will return to its place of rising; that is its place of settling. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِی لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَہَا} … And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed).
Hadith 8733
(وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا) قَالَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا} [يس: 38] قَالَ ((مُسْتَقَرُّهَا تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the statement of Allah Almighty: {وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِی لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَہَا} He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Its place of rest is beneath the Throne.
