Narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the house of Sayyiduna Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) and saw his wife, Sayyidah Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her), and something occurred in his heart. It could not be determined whether this is the statement of Hammad or part of the hadith. Meanwhile, Sayyiduna Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and complained about his wife. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Keep your wife with you and fear Allah, the Exalted. Then this command was revealed: {وَاتَّقِاللّٰہَوَتُخْفِیفِینَفْسِکَمَااللّٰہُمُبْدِیہِ … … زَوَّجْنَاکَہَا} … up to this point, and by this is meant Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her).

Narrated by Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: If the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) were to conceal any part of the Shariah revealed by Allah Almighty, he would have concealed these verses: {وَإِذْتَقُولُلِلَّذِیأَنْعَمَاللّٰہُعَلَیْہِ … … وَکَانَأَمْرُاللّٰہِمَفْعُولًا}.
