Hadith 8706
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that we used to call Zaid bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) as Zaid bin Muhammad, until this part of the Noble Qur’an was revealed: {اُدْعُوْھُمْ لِآبَائِہِمْ ھُوَاَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰہِ} … Call them by (the names of) their fathers; that is more just in the sight of Allah.
