Hadith 8687
Narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from among the Ansar came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about this: if a man finds another man with his wife, should he kill him? Meanwhile, Allah Almighty revealed the verses in the Noble Qur’an regarding li’an (mutual cursing) about this matter, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The decision between you and your wife has been made. So both husband and wife performed li’an, while I (Sahl) was present there, then that man separated from the woman in the presence of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
