بَابُ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: «قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ»
Chapter: His saying, the Exalted: "Certainly will the believers have succeeded"
Hadith 8682
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ كَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْوَحْيُ يُسْمَعُ عِنْدَ وَجْهِهِ دَوِيٌّ كَدَوِيِّ النَّحْلِ فَمَكَثْنَا سَاعَةً فَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ زِدْنَا وَلَا تَنْقُصْنَا وَأَكْرِمْنَا وَلَا تُهِنَّا وَأَعْطِنَا وَلَا تَحْرِمْنَا وَآثِرْنَا وَلَا تُؤْثِرْ عَلَيْنَا وَارْضَ عَنَّا وَأَرْضِنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَقَدْ أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيَّ عَشْرُ آيَاتٍ مَنْ أَقَامَهُنَّ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَلَيْنَا قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّى خَتَمَ الْعَشْرَ [سورة المؤمنون: ١-١٠]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when revelation would descend upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a buzzing sound would be heard near him, like the sound of bees. Then we waited for a while and saw that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) faced the Qiblah, raised both hands, and made this supplication: O our Allah! Grant us more, do not decrease us; honor us, do not disgrace us; give to us and favor us, and do not favor others over us; and be pleased with us and make us pleased. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ten verses have been revealed to me; whoever adheres to them will enter Paradise. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited to us {قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ} until he completed the ten verses.
