بَابُ «لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ»
Chapter: "For those who have done good is the best [reward] and extra"
Hadith 8630
عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ نُودُوا يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ لَكُمْ مَوْعِدًا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ لَمْ تَرَوْهُ فَقَالُوا وَمَا هُوَ أَلَمْ تُبَيِّضْ وُجُوهَنَا وَتُزَحْزِحْنَا عَنِ النَّارِ وَتُدْخِلْنَا الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ فَيُكْشَفُ الْحِجَابُ فَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا أَعْطَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَيْئًا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ تَلَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا الْحُسْنَى وَزِيَادَةٌ [سورة يونس: ٢٦]
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the people of Paradise will enter Paradise, a caller will call out to them: O people of Paradise! Allah the Exalted has made a promise to you which has not yet been fulfilled. They will be astonished and will say: What is that promise, O Allah! Have You not brightened our faces, have You not saved us from Hell, and have You not admitted us into Paradise (what else remains)? At that moment, the veil will be lifted and the people of Paradise will begin to look at Allah the Exalted. By Allah! Allah the Exalted will not have given them anything more beloved and dear than this vision. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: {لِلَّذِینَ أَ حْسَنُوْا الْحُسْنٰی وَزِیَادَۃٌ} … Those who do good will have a reward and even more in addition.
