باب: «إِنْ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَّا إِنَانًا»
Chapter: "They invoke none but female deities besides Him"
Hadith 8566
عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِنْ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَّا إِنَاثًا [سورة النساء: ١١٧] قَالَ مَعَ كُلِّ صَنَمٍ جَنِيَّةٌ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that regarding Allah Almighty's statement {اَنْ یَدْعُوْنَ مِنْ دُوْنِہٖاِلَّااِنَاثًا} (And they invoke nothing but female deities), the meaning of "female deities" (inaathan) is that with every idol there is a female jinn.
