Hadith 8480
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite and learn the Qur’an, for it will intercede for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection. And recite the two radiant Surahs, i.e., Surah al-Baqarah and Surah Aal-e-Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come like two clouds or two shades, or like two flocks of birds spreading their wings, and they will defend their reciters. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite Surah al-Baqarah, for acquiring it is a blessing and abandoning it is a cause of regret, and magicians cannot overpower it.
Hadith 8481
Sayyiduna Nawas bin Sam'an Kalabi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the Qur'an and those who acted upon it will be brought forth, Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Aal-e-Imran will be in front of them. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave three examples of these two Surahs, which I have not forgotten till now. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is as if these two Surahs will be two clouds, or two shades, or two shadow-like (shades) in which there will be light, or as if they will be two flocks of birds with outspread wings, and they will defend those who recited them.
Hadith 8482
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard him say: Learn Surah Al-Baqarah, acquiring its knowledge is a source of blessing and abandoning it is a cause of regret, and the followers of falsehood cannot overcome it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) paused for a while and then said: Learn Surah Al-Baqarah and Surah Aal-e-Imran, these two are radiant and beautiful Surahs, on the Day of Resurrection they will cover their reciters as if they are two clouds or two things providing shade or two flocks of birds with outspread wings. And indeed, the Qur’an will come to the reciter on the Day of Resurrection when his grave is split open, it will appear like a weak and pale-colored man and will say to the servant: Do you recognize me? He will say: I do not recognize you. The Qur’an will again say: Do you recognize me? He will say: I do not recognize you. It will say: I am your companion, the Qur’an, who kept you thirsty at noon and kept you awake at night. Today, every trader is behind his trade (i.e., every trader hopes to gain profit from his trade), and today you are above every trade (i.e., today you will gain more benefit than any trade). Then he will be given sovereignty in his right hand and eternity in his left hand, a crown of dignity will be placed on his head, and his parents will be dressed in two fine garments, so valuable that the world and all it contains cannot match their value. They will say: O our Lord! Why have these garments been given to us? It will be said to them: Because your son recited the Qur’an. Then it will be said to him: Keep reciting and keep ascending the ranks of Paradise. He will continue to ascend the lofty chambers of Paradise as long as he keeps reciting, whether he recites quickly or slowly.
Hadith 8483
Sayyiduna Ma’qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surah Al-Baqarah is the hump and the peak of the Qur’an, with every verse of it, eighty (80) angels descended, and its verse {لَا اِلٰہَ إِلَّا ہُوَ الْحَیُّ الْقَیُّومُ} was brought out from beneath the Divine Throne and then joined to Surah Al-Baqarah. Surah Ya-Sin is the heart of the Noble Qur’an; whoever recites it seeking Allah’s pleasure and reward in the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will forgive him. Recite this Surah near your dying ones.
Hadith 8484
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Do not make your houses graveyards; Satan flees from the house in which Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.
