Hadith 8349
عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لَا يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that Shuraih Hadhrami was mentioned in the presence of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is a person who does not make the Qur'an a pillow.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Saib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that Shuraih Hadhrami was mentioned in the presence of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is a person who does not make the Qur'an a pillow.
Hadith 8350
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَمَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ اللَّهِ يَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِلَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّكِينَةُ وَغَشِيَتْهُمُ الرَّحْمَةُ وَحَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَذَكَرَهُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِيمَنْ عِنْدَهُ وَمَنْ أَبْطَأَ بِهِ عَمَلُهُ لَمْ يُسْرِعْ بِهِ نَسَبُهُ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a group of people gather in one of the houses of Allah and recite the Book of Allah and study it among themselves, tranquility descends upon them, mercy covers them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them among those who are with Him. And whoever is held back by his deeds, his lineage will not push him forward.
Hadith 8351
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ أَبَا مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ مَثَلُ الْأُتْرُجَّةِ طَعْمُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَرِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَمَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي لَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ كَمَثَلِ التَّمْرَةِ طَعْمُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَلَا رِيحَ لَهَا وَمَثَلُ الْفَاجِرِ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ كَمَثَلِ الرَّيْحَانَةِ مُرٌّ طَعْمُهَا وَرِيحُهَا طَيِّبٌ وَمَثَلُ الْفَاجِرِ الَّذِي لَا يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ كَمَثَلِ الْحَنْظَلَةِ مُرٌّ طَعْمُهَا وَلَا رِيحَ لَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) stated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a believer who recites the Qur'an is like that of a citron; its taste is good and its fragrance is pleasant. The example of a believer who does not recite the Qur'an is like that of a date; its taste is good, but it has no fragrance. The example of a wicked person who recites the Qur'an is like that of basil; its taste is bitter, but its fragrance is good. And the example of a wicked person who does not recite the Qur'an is like that of colocynth; its taste is bitter and it has no fragrance.
Hadith 8352
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجِيءُ الْقُرْآنُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَالرَّجُلِ الشَّاحِبِ فَيَقُولُ لِصَاحِبِهِ أَنَا الَّذِي أَسْهَرْتُ لَيْلَكَ وَأَظْمَأْتُ هَوَاجِرَكَ
Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: On the Day of Resurrection, the Holy Qur'an will come in the form of a pale-colored man. It will say to its companion: I kept you awake at night and made you thirsty during the day, so today I will intercede for you.
Hadith 8353
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَهُوَ مَاهِرٌ بِهِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ وَالَّذِي يَقْرَأُهُ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Holy Qur'an and is proficient in it, he will be with the noble, righteous angels with white faces. And the one who recites it and finds it difficult, he will receive a double reward.
Hadith 8354
وَعَنْهَا أَيْضًا قَالَتْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يَقْرَأُ آيَةً فَقَالَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ لَقَدْ أَذْكَرَنِي آيَةً كُنْتُ نُسِّيتُهَا
It is also narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man reciting a verse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah have mercy on him, he has reminded me of a verse that I had been made to forget.
Hadith 8355
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَقْرَأُ فِينَا الْعَرَبِيُّ وَالْعَجَمِيُّ وَالْأَسْوَدُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَنْتُمْ فِي خَيْرٍ تَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ وَفِيكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَسَيَأْتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ يَثْقَفُونَهُ كَمَا يَثْقَفُونَ الْقَدَحَ يَتَعَجَّلُونَ أُجُورَهُمْ وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Once we were reciting the Holy Qur'an, among us were Arabs, non-Arabs, those of black complexion, and those of white complexion. Suddenly, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us and said: You are upon goodness, you are reciting the Book of Allah, while the Messenger of Allah is among you. Soon a time will come when people will exaggerate in reciting this Book beautifully, just as an arrow is straightened with great attention, but they will hasten to receive its reward (in this world) and will not defer it until the Hereafter.
Hadith 8356
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَإِذَا فِيهِ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ قَالَ اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ قَالَ فَاسْتَمَعَ فَقَالَ اقْرَءُوا فَكُلٌّ حَسَنٌ وَابْتَغُوا بِهِ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ قَوْمٌ يُقِيمُونَهُ إِقَامَةَ الْقَدَحِ يَتَعَجَّلُونَهُ وَلَا يَتَأَجَّلُونَهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque while some people were reciting the Holy Qur’an in the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite the Noble Qur’an. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) listened attentively and then said: Recite, recite, each one is good, but through it seek Allah Almighty. Before such people come who will recite it precisely as an arrow is straightened, but will seek its reward in this world and will not defer its reward till the Hereafter.
