Hadith 8342
Narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Book of Allah is present among you; black, white, and red, everyone learns it. Learn it before the time comes when people will learn it, but it will not go below their collarbones, and they will straighten its words as an arrow is straightened, but they will seek its reward in this world and will not delay it until the Hereafter.
Hadith 8343
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to be engaged in (the welfare of) the Muslims. Whenever someone migrated and came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would join him with one of us so that he could teach him the Holy Qur’an. Sayyiduna ‘Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entrusted a man to me; he used to stay at my house, I would give him the same food that my family ate, and I would teach him the Holy Qur’an. When he returned to his home and thought that I had a right over him, he gave me a bow as a gift. I had never seen a bow made of such fine wood and craftsmanship. So I went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about this? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is a burning ember of fire that you have hung between your shoulders.
Hadith 8344
Abu Abdur Rahman says: The companions who taught us the Noble Qur'an informed us that when they would learn ten verses from the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, they would not proceed to the next ten verses until they had acted upon those verses. They said: We learned both knowledge and action together.
