It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad! After you, your Ummah will fall into discord. I asked: O Jibreel! What is the way out of this discord? He said: The Book of Allah. Allah, the Exalted, breaks the pride of every rebellious one through it. Whoever holds fast to it will attain salvation, and whoever abandons it will be destroyed. He said this sentence twice. This is decisive speech and not a joke (it is true speech based on reality). Tongues cannot produce speech like it. Its wonders and secrets never end. In it are the stories of those before you, the judgments between you, and the news of what will happen after you.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: One day the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us, it seemed as if he (peace and blessings be upon him) was bidding us farewell. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am Muhammad, the unlettered Prophet. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said this three times and then said: There is no prophet after me. I have been granted the initial, final, and comprehensive forms of words. I also know how many angels are the keepers of Hell and how many angels bear the Throne of Allah Almighty. Many hardships have been pardoned for my Ummah by Allah Almighty, and safety has been granted to me and my Ummah. As long as I am among you, listen to me and obey me, and when I depart from this world, hold fast to the Book of Allah, consider its lawful things as lawful and its unlawful things as unlawful.

The Qur'an will say: I kept him from sleeping at night, so accept my intercession for him. Thus, their intercession will be accepted.
