Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would reach up to half of his ears. In another narration, it is stated: The hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go beyond his ears.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the polytheists used to part their hair, and the People of the Book used to leave their hair without parting it. Until a new and specific command was given to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he preferred to conform to the People of the Book. Therefore, in the beginning, he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to leave his hair on his forehead, then he started parting his hair.

Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when I used to part the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I would divide the hair from the top of his head into two sections, and I would leave the hair of the forehead between his eyes, that is, on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
