Hadith 8220
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ شَعْرُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ أُذُنَيْهِ وَفِي لَفْظٍ لَا يُجَاوِزُ أُذُنَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would reach up to half of his ears. In another narration, it is stated: The hair of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not go beyond his ears.
Hadith 8221
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَعْرٌ يُصِيبُ وَفِي لَفْظٍ يَضْرِبُ مَنْكِبَيْهِ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the blessed hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would reach his shoulders.
Hadith 8222
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كَانَ شَعْرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ دُونَ الْجُمَّةِ وَفَوْقَ الْوَفْرَةِ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was above the shoulders and below the ears.
Hadith 8223
عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ مَرَّةً وَلَهُ أَرْبَعُ غَدَائِرَ
Sayyida Umm Hani (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Makkah, he had four rams.
Hadith 8224
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كَانَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ يَفْرُقُونَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ يَسْدِلُونَ قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَشْعَارَهُمْ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ وَيُعْجِبُهُ مُوَافَقَةُ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ يَعْقُوبُ فِي بَعْضِ مَا لَمْ يُؤْمَرْ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِيمَا لَمْ يُؤْمَرْ فِيهِ فَسَدَلَ نَاصِيَتَهُ ثُمَّ فَرَقَ بَعْدُ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the polytheists used to part their hair, and the People of the Book used to leave their hair without parting it. Until a new and specific command was given to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he preferred to conform to the People of the Book. Therefore, in the beginning, he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to leave his hair on his forehead, then he started parting his hair.
Hadith 8225
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَدَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاصِيَتَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَسْدُلَهَا ثُمَّ فَرَقَ بَعْدُ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that as long as Allah willed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept his hair straight, then he started parting it.
Hadith 8226
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ كُنْتُ إِذَا فَرَقْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأْسَهُ صَدَعْتُ فَرْقَهُ عَنْ يَافُوخِهِ وَأَرْسَلْتُ نَاصِيَتَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when I used to part the hair of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), I would divide the hair from the top of his head into two sections, and I would leave the hair of the forehead between his eyes, that is, on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 8227
عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ بْنِ يَرِيمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَدَعَا ابْنًا لَهُ يُقَالُ لَهُ عُثْمَانُ لَهُ ذُؤَابَةٌ
Hubayrah bin Yareem says: We were with Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he called his son, whose name was Uthman and who had braided hair.
Hadith 8228
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ التَّرَجُّلِ إِلَّا غِبًّا
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade combing the hair without a break.
