Hadith 8177
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَشْرٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَإِعْفَاءُ اللِّحْيَةِ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَاسْتِنْشَاقٌ بِالْمَاءِ وَقَصُّ الْأَظْفَارِ وَغَسْلُ الْبَرَاجِمِ وَنَتْفُ الْإِبِطِ وَحَلْقُ الْعَانَةِ وَانْتِقَاصُ الْمَاءِ يَعْنِي الِاسْتِنْجَاءَ قَالَ زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ مُصْعَبٌ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَنَسِيتُ الْعَاشِرَةَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ الْمَضْمَضَةَ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ten things are from the natural disposition (fitrah): trimming the moustache, letting the beard grow, using the miswak, rinsing the nose with water and cleaning it, cutting the nails, thoroughly washing the joints and tips of the fingers, plucking the hair from the armpits, shaving the pubic hair, and performing istinja (cleaning oneself after relieving oneself). Mus'ab, the narrator, says: I forgot the tenth thing; it seems that it is rinsing the mouth.
Hadith 8178
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظَافِرِ وَتَنْفُ الْإِبِطِ وَالِاسْتِحْدَادُ وَالْخِتَانُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Five things are from the natural disposition: trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, and performing circumcision.
Hadith 8179
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ حَلْقُ الْعَانَةِ وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظَافِرِ وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَرَّةً وَقَصُّ الشَّوَارِبِ
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shaving the hair below the navel, trimming the nails, and cutting the moustache are from the natural disposition (fitrah).
Hadith 8180
عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ أَوِ الْفِطْرَةِ الْمَضْمَضَةُ وَالِاسْتِنْشَاقُ وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَتَقْلِيمُ الْأَظَافِرِ وَغَسْلُ الْبَرَاجِمِ وَنَتْفُ الْإِبِطِ وَالِاسْتِحْدَادُ وَالِاخْتِنَانُ وَالِانْتِضَاحُ
Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These acts are from the natural disposition: rinsing the mouth, drawing water into the nose and blowing it out, trimming the moustache, using the tooth-stick (miswak), cutting the nails, washing the joints and tips of the fingers, plucking the hair of the armpits, shaving the pubic hair, performing circumcision, and sprinkling water over the private parts after ablution.
Hadith 8181
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ وَقَّتَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَصِّ الشَّارِبِ وَتَقْلِيمِ الْأَظْفَارِ وَحَلْقِ الْعَانَةِ فِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا مَرَّةً
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specified a period of forty days for trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, and shaving the hair below the navel.
Hadith 8182
عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْخِتَانُ سُنَّةٌ لِلرِّجَالِ مَكْرُمَةٌ لِلنِّسَاءِ
Sayyiduna Abu Malih narrates from his father Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Circumcision is Sunnah for men and an honor for women.
Hadith 8183
عَنْ عُثَيْمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَسْلَمْتُ فَقَالَ أَلْقِ عَنْكَ شَعْرَ الْكُفْرِ يَقُولُ احْلِقْ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي آخَرُ مَعَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِآخَرَ أَلْقِ عَنْكَ شَعَرَ الْكُفْرِ وَاخْتَتِنْ
Abu Kulayb Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and I said: I have become a Muslim. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then cast off the hair of disbelief. Another narrator stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shave the hair of disbelief. Another man informed me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to another person: Remove the hair of disbelief and perform circumcision.
Hadith 8184
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَتَنَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ خَلِيلُ الرَّحْمَنِ بَعْدَمَا أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ ثَمَانُونَ سَنَةً وَاخْتَتَنَ بِالْقَدُومِ
Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Ibrahim Khalil-ur-Rahman (peace be upon him) performed circumcision at the age of eighty (80) years, and he performed circumcision with an adze.
