Nafi' says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to wear Sabti shoes and perform ablution in them, and he narrated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same.

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the elderly people of the Ansar, whose beards had turned white. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O group of Ansar! Dye your beards red and yellow, and oppose the People of the Book. They said: O Messenger of Allah! The People of the Book wear trousers and do not wear waistcloths. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should wear trousers as well as waistcloths, and oppose the People of the Book. They said: O Messenger of Allah! The People of the Book wear socks and do not wear shoes. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should wear socks as well as shoes, and oppose the People of the Book. They said: O Messenger of Allah! The People of the Book scratch their beards and grow their moustaches long. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should trim your moustaches and let your beards grow, and oppose the People of the Book.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you puts on shoes, he should begin with the right side, and when he takes them off, he should begin with the left foot, and walk wearing both shoes. In another narration it is stated: When the strap of one shoe breaks, a person should not walk with one shoe, rather he should take off both shoes, or wear both.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When a dog puts its mouth in the vessel of any one of you, he should wash it seven times, and when the strap of the shoe of any one of you breaks, he should not walk with one shoe until he repairs the other shoe (and wears both together).
