Hadith 7893
Nafi’ narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) heard the sound of a shepherd’s flute, so he put his fingers in his ears and moved his mount off the path and went far away. (After going some distance) he said: O Nafi’! Are you still hearing the sound? He replied: Yes. So he kept walking until I said that now the sound is no longer audible. Then he lowered his hands and brought his mount back onto the path and said: I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do the same when he heard the sound of a shepherd’s flute.
Hadith 7894
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Aisha! Do you recognize her? She said: No, O Messenger of Allah! He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is the singing slave-girl of such-and-such tribe. Would you like her to sing? Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Yes! He (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her a kind of tray, and she sang upon it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Satan has blown into her nostrils.
Hadith 7895
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty has sent me as a mercy and guidance for the worlds, and He has commanded me to eradicate musical instruments, flutes, idols, crosses, and the practices of ignorance. And my Lord, swearing by His honor, said: If any of My servants drinks even a sip of wine, then on the Day of Resurrection he will be made to drink pus equal to it, unless he is forgiven or punished. If he gives it to a small and weak Muslim child to drink, then he too will be made to drink pus equal to it on the Day of Resurrection, unless he is forgiven or punished. And whoever refrains from drinking it out of fear of Me, I will make him drink from the Pool of Quds on the Day of Resurrection. Buying and selling these things, teaching them, and trading in them is not lawful, and the price of singing women is forbidden.
Hadith 7896
Ja'far says: I came to Farqad bin Ya'qub, and when I found him alone, I said: O son of Umm Farqad! Today I will ask you about a hadith, which is: Inform me about the earth swallowing people and stones being rained down—do you say this yourself or do you narrate it from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: No, I do not say this myself, I narrate it from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I asked: Who narrated this hadith to you? He said: 'Asim bin 'Amr Bajali narrated it to me, he narrated it from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Abu Umamah narrated it from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And Qatadah narrated to me from Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, and Ibrahim al-Nakha'i narrated to me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A group from my Ummah will spend the night in eating, drinking, and amusement, and when morning comes, they will have become monkeys and pigs. A wind will be sent upon a tribe from among their tribes, and it will destroy them just as it destroyed those before them. This will happen because they considered wine, drums, and female singers to be lawful and adopted them.

Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit, Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm, Sayyiduna Abu Umamah, and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrate that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! Some people from my Ummah will spend the night in the most severe arrogance, rebellion, and amusement; in the morning, they will become monkeys and pigs, because they will consider unlawful things and singing women to be lawful, will drink alcohol, consume usury, and wear silk.
