Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Regarding Allah Almighty’s statement {لَہُمُ الْبُشْرٰی فِی الْحَیَاۃِ الدُّنْیَا} … (For them there is glad tidings in the life of this world), this glad tidings refers to a good dream, in which a believer is given glad tidings. This is the forty-ninth part of Prophethood. Whoever sees such a dream should tell it to others, and if it is any other kind of dream (which is not good), then it is from Satan, who tries to disturb him. He should not inform anyone about it, and should spit three times to his left and remain silent and not tell anyone.
