بابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْعَيْنِ وَأَنَّهَا حَقٌّ
Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Evil Eye and That It Is Real
Hadith 7743
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ تَسْتَنْزِلُ الْحَالِقَ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The effect of the evil eye is true, the effect of the evil eye is true; it can even shake a mountain.
Hadith 7744
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ وَنَهَى عَنِ الْوَشْمِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The effect of the evil eye is true. And he forbade carrying (children) in the lap.
Hadith 7745
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ وَيَحْضُرُ بِهَا الشَّيْطَانُ وَحَسَدُ ابْنِ آدَمَ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The effect of the evil eye is true; along with it, Satan is present, and the envy of the son of Adam is also included.
Hadith 7746
عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُولِعُ بِالرَّجُلِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَصْعَدَ حَالِقًا ثُمَّ يَتَرَدَّى مِنْهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely, the evil eye follows a person by Allah’s command, to the extent that a man climbs to the top of a mountain, then falls from it.
