بَابُ فِي إِنَّ مَا أُبَيْنَ مِنْ حَى فَهُوَ مَيْتَةٌ، وَمَا لا يَجُوزُ أَكْلُهُ مِنَ الدَّبَائِحِ
Chapter on Whatever Is Cut from a Living Animal Is Dead Meat, and What Is Not Permissible to Eat from Slaughtered Animals
Hadith 7619
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُؤْكَلُ الشَّرِيطَةُ فَإِنَّهَا ذَبِيحَةُ الشَّيْطَانِ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah and Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrate that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Do not eat Shariṭah, for it is the slaughter of Satan.
Hadith 7620
عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَبِهَا نَاسٌ يَعْمِدُونَ إِلَى أَلْيَاتِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَسْنِمَةِ الْإِبِلِ فَيَجُبُّونَهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا قُطِعَ مِنَ الْبَهِيمَةِ وَهِيَ حَيَّةٌ فَهِيَ مَيْتَةٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Waqqad Al-Laithi (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, there were some people there who would cut off the rumps of sheep and the humps of camels (and eat them). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The flesh that is cut from a living animal is carrion.
