Hadith 7602
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I have remembered two things from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has made excellence obligatory in everything, so when you kill (out of necessity), kill in a good manner, and when you slaughter, slaughter in a good manner. Sharpen your knife and give comfort to the animal being slaughtered.
Hadith 7603
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the knife be sharpened and kept hidden from the animals, and also said that when any of you slaughters an animal, he should do so quickly.
Hadith 7604
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever slaughters a sparrow without right, Allah Almighty will question him about it on the Day of Resurrection. Someone asked: What is its right? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It should be slaughtered, and its neck should not be held in such a way that it is completely severed.
Hadith 7605
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! I slaughter a goat and I feel pity for it as I am slaughtering it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you show mercy to the goat, Allah will show mercy to you.
Hadith 7606
Syedna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us. I intended to slaughter a goat, and it made a sound. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard its sound and said: O Jabir! Do not slaughter a goat that gives milk and has offspring. I said: O Messenger of Allah! This goat is young; I have fattened it by feeding it unripe and moist dates.
