Hadith 7576
Narrated from Sayyiduna Tariq bin Suwayd Hazrami (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! In our land there are grapes, we squeeze them (to make wine) and then drink it." You (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." I repeated my statement, you (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." I said: "We seek cure for the sick through it." You (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, it is not a cure, rather it is itself a disease."
Hadith 7577
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wa’il Hadhrami (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man named Suwaid bin Tariq asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about wine. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade him from drinking it. He said: I make wine for medicinal purposes. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, it is a disease and not a cure.
