Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My father and I went to Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he seated us on bedding and served us food. Then a drink was brought to us, Sayyiduna Muawiyah drank it and handed it to my father. My father said: Since the time the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it forbidden, I have not drunk it. Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Among the Quraysh, I am the most handsome and have the best teeth. In my youth, I did not find such pleasure in anything else as I found in this, except that there is more pleasure in milk, or a person who speaks better than me also seems very delightful to me.
