بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ التَّنَفُسِ ثَلَاثًا فِي الشُّرْبِ خَارِجَ الإناء
Chapter on the Recommendation of Breathing Three Times While Drinking Outside the Vessel
Hadith 7473
عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي إِنَائِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَكَانَ أَنَسٌ يَتَنَفَّسُ ثَلَاثًا
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to drink water from a vessel in three breaths, and Sayyiduna Anas would also drink water in three breaths.
Hadith 7474
وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِصَامٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الْإِنَاءِ ثَلَاثًا وَيَقُولُ هَذَا أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ وَأَبْرَأُ
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank water, he would take three breaths (during drinking), and would say: This manner is more delicious, pleasant, and health-giving.
Hadith 7475
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا شَرِبَ تَنَفَّسَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فِي الشَّرَابِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank water, he would take two breaths.
