Hadith 7409
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Abi Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was brought up by the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me to the food which he (peace and blessings be upon him) was eating, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Come close, mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is in front of you.
Hadith 7410
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a bowl of tharid was brought to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: Eat from around it or from its edges, and do not eat from its middle, for indeed, blessing descends in its middle.
Hadith 7411
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was among the people of Suffah. One day, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for bread, broke it into pieces, put them in a bowl, then added water, fat, and sifted flour to it. Then he mixed it well, gathered it from the sides to make a high heap, and then said to me: Go and bring ten men along with yourself to me. I brought them, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat, and eat from the lower side of the bowl, do not eat from the upper side, because blessings descend from the upper side. Then they ate until they were satisfied.
