It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were with Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent us with him on a journey, our provisions ran out, then we found a fish which the river had thrown out, we wanted to eat it, but Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah (may Allah be pleased with him) stopped us from doing so and then said: There is no harm, we are the messengers of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), eat it. So we ate from it for several days, then when we came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we informed him about it, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you have any part of that fish left, send it to us.
