It is narrated from a man of Banu Yarbu’, he says: I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and found him speaking to the people. In the midst of his speech, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The giving hand is superior; be good to your mother, and to your father, and to your sister, and to your brother, then to whoever is closer after them. A man said: O Messenger of Allah! These are the Banu Tha’labah bin Yarbu’ who have killed so-and-so. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No soul will be seized for the sin of another (i.e., everyone is responsible for his own crime).

Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’dikarib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty commands you to treat your mothers well; indeed, Allah Almighty commands you to treat your fathers well; indeed, Allah Almighty commands you to treat your closest relatives and then those who are next closest with kindness.

Syedna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man said: O Messenger of Allah! Who among the people is most deserving of my good companionship? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your mother. He said: Then who? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your mother. He said: Then who? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your mother. He said: Then who? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then your father.
Hadith 7273
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most virtuous dinar is that which a man spends on his family, and that dinar which a man spends on his animal in the path of Allah. Abu Qilabah, clarifying from his side, said: Just as he spends while doing good to his family, and Abu Qilabah also said: Who can have a greater reward than the man who spends on his small children, and Allah Almighty, through this, saves those children from having to ask (beg).
Hadith 7274
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The most virtuous dinar is that which a man spends on his family, then that which he spends on himself, then that which he spends in the way of Allah, and then that which he spends on his companions in the way of Allah. Abu Qilabah says: Begin with your family. Sulaiman bin Harb says: Abu Qilabah did not narrate these words as marfu‘: The most virtuous dinar is, and also virtuous is that which a man spends on his mount in the way of Allah.
Hadith 7275
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty says: O son of Adam! If you spend the surplus wealth in the way of Allah, it will be better for you, and if you withhold it, it will be bad for you. And begin spending with those whose maintenance is your responsibility. And if you already have enough, then Allah Almighty will not blame you for not spending. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand.
