Chapter: Reward for One Who Spends from Her Husband's House Without Corruption and the Threat to One Who Corrupts

3 hadith
Hadith 7264
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a woman spends on someone from her husband's house or feeds someone, but does not intend corruption or extravagance, then the reward that the woman will receive, the same reward will be given to her husband, because he earned it, and the woman will receive reward because she spent it. In this way, the treasurer will also receive reward, and no one's reward will be diminished because of another.

Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that a woman came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have a co-wife, is there anything wrong if I pretend to have received from my husband more than what he has actually given me? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who pretends to have been given what he was not given is like one who wears two garments of falsehood.

Lady Salma bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the maternal aunt of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and who had prayed towards both Qiblahs with him, was a woman from Banu Adi bin Najjar. It is narrated from her, she says: I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and, joining the women of the Ansar, I pledged allegiance to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed these conditions upon us: that we would not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill our children, nor slander, and that we would not disobey the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in matters of goodness. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said to us that we should not act deceitfully towards our husbands. Thus, we pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on these matters. When we returned, I said to one of the women: Go back and ask the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) what is meant by not acting deceitfully towards husbands? When she went and asked, she returned and said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Deceit is when a woman takes her husband's wealth and gives it away as gifts to others.
