Wahb bin Jabir narrates that the son of a slave of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with them) said to him: I intend to spend this month of Ramadan here in Bayt al-Maqdis. He said: Have you left provisions for your wife and children for this blessed month? He replied: No. He said: Then return to your family and arrange for their provisions, because I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that it is sufficient sin for a man that he neglects those whose provision is his responsibility.
Hadith 7257
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One dinar which you spend in the way of Allah, one dinar which you spend on the needy, one dinar which you spend to free a slave, and one dinar which you spend on your family—of all these, the greatest in reward is the dinar which you spend on your family.
Hadith 7258
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Give charity. A man said: I have one dinar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spend it on yourself. He said: I have another dinar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spend it on your wife. He said: I have another dinar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spend it on your children. He said: I have another dinar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Spend it on your servant. He said: I have another dinar. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then decide yourself, in the light of your own insight (as to who is more deserving).
Hadith 7259
Narrated by Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him): A man asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "What right does a wife have over her husband?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "When you eat, feed her as well; when you clothe yourself, clothe her as well. Do not strike her on the face, do not speak to her in a repulsive manner, and (in case of displeasure) do not leave her except within the house."
Hadith 7260
Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Whatever you spend on your wife (seeking the pleasure of Allah), you will be rewarded for it, even the morsel that you put in your wife's mouth.
Hadith 7261
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: When a Muslim spends on his wife with the intention of reward, it becomes charity for him.
