Hadith 7224
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever claims to be the child of anyone other than his father, or a freed slave attributes his allegiance to anyone other than his masters who freed him, then upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people until the Day of Judgment. Neither his voluntary nor obligatory acts of worship will be accepted.
Hadith 7225
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The greatest lie is to attribute oneself to someone other than one's father; similarly, it is a great lie for a person to describe a dream which he did not see, and for one who alters the signs of the land.

It is narrated from Abu Uthman that Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the first to shoot an arrow in the way of Allah, and Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who, along with some people, scaled the fortress of Ta'if, from these two companions it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever knowingly attributes himself to anyone other than his real father, Paradise will be forbidden for him.

It is narrated from Abu Uthman, he says: When Ziyad made the claim, I met Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him). I said: What have you done? In response, Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: I myself heard with my own ears that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever attributes himself to someone other than his father, knowingly, Paradise will be forbidden for him. Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I also heard from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In one narration it is: My ears heard and my heart remembered from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Even if a lineage is insignificant, to disassociate oneself from it or to attribute oneself to an unknown lineage is disbelief.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever knowingly ascribes himself to anyone other than his father, for him there is nothing but disbelief. Whoever claims something that does not rightfully belong to him, he is not from among us, and he should take his place in Hell. And whoever calls someone a disbeliever or an enemy of Allah, while he is not so, then the speaker himself will be subject to what he said.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Raihana (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever, for the sake of gaining honor and prestige, attributes himself to his nine disbelieving ancestors, then in Hell he himself will be the tenth among them.

Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever denies his child in this world to disgrace him, Allah will disgrace him publicly on the Day of Judgment, and on the Day of Judgment, recompense will be given in kind.
